Description

Where are you from?
I have lived and worked in the Seacoast, Portsmouth for the last 15 years. In that time I’ve been a hair and garden/property professional. I have recently relocated to North Hampton with Pure Salon… The private gardens and properties tended can be seen throughout the seacoast area!

How is/was your greatest mentor and what did they teach you?
Two major influences that have had an impact on my life, my dad through which complete appreciation and understanding of unconditional love came through most every word and action. The other, a woman whose life was far too brief, who encouraged me to get on the paddle board in the first place, striving for balance and “daring to be different!”

How long have you been paddling?
I’ve been paddle boarding, since July 4, 2011, with the Round Island Regatta 2012 being my third occasion on the board.  I have been hooked ever since, with  year round paddling.

Where is your favorite place to paddle?
There’s nothing quite like the exhilaration of paddling in a snowstorm. Some of the favorite places to paddle around Newcastle Island, Leech Island into the creek and the marshes over by route one, the wildlife is amazing.

Why are you making the paddle to the Isle of Shoals for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NH?
As a former mentor with another program in Concord New Hampshire it is a worthwhile cause that allows me to enjoy something I love and benefit a great organization! I’m  grateful to Chris for allowing me this opportunity again this year, I look forward to the challenge of paddling out to Isles of Shoals with more people and greater support!!!
